Introduction

Its May 2017, I'm 32 years old and I volunteer for Headway.
3 years and 4 months ago, I had a nasty car accident which left me with a Traumatic Brain Injury! This is my blog that I started in September 2015. I use this to talk about what has happened to me, my problems and issues, I wanted to get everything out in the open and in one place. I can document my 'journey', try to get closure and figure out if my brain hates me.
Some of this may be tough to read, I am brutally honest! This is my experience of a Traumatic brain injury and my recovery. I wish it was fun to talk and write about but it's not, this is the truth!
I'm hoping that as well as helping me, this will also help others in a similar position to me. I hope people can relate to some of the things I talk about and know that they are not alone. I also hope that this will educate people about brain injury and the challenges that go alongside it, how it feels, yes you can't see it but it's there, every second of every day, the invisible disability.
If you read this and would like to discuss anything that I have written, ask me a question or tell me your story then please feel free to email me at or follow me on Twitter for updates on my blog or if you would prefer to talk to me through there, my username is @mrsluxton25.
Headway have been a fantastic help to me and I volunteer at Headway for Medway (part of Headway South East London North West Kent). If you could make a donation to this Headway, that would be great. You will see a Headway logo at the bottom of every page, this is the link to their Just Giving page. This is an amazing charity who do fantastic work, any money raised helps people like me. Thank you.
So, here goes...
